Requirements
All dogs visiting Strawberry Hill Groom & Board must be up to date on the following:
- Rabies
- Distemper
- Bordatella
- Fecal testing within 6 months.
These requirements can be taken care of at Strawberry Hill Animal Hospital or at your preferred veterinary practice.
If your pet has not yet been vaccinated or is overdue, we recommend visiting your vet at least two weeks prior to your scheduled grooming and boarding date with us. Although we can take care of these requirements the day of, ideally vaccines are given ahead of time to provide maximum immunity for your pet. We also ask that you bring in a fecal sample 1-2 days before your pet’s appointment so we have the results by the time they’re staying with us.
Just like children must get certain vaccines before going to school, dogs must get certain vaccines before going to grooming and boarding facilities. Dogs staying with us are exposed to other dogs since they are kept in the same areas and walked in the same yard as other boarding and grooming patients. Though we clean up thoroughly and maintain a safe environment for your pets, it is still important to take precautions through vaccinations and fecal analysis.
We know that these requirements may cause some inconvenience, but we hope you understand that we are recommending what we believe is best for our patients and clients.
